Chris Weng
if you know this guy you’ve probably heard stories about how he’s the smartest guy in school but socially awkward and stuff like that. However, if you got to know him the way I did in my two years of IB then you would have learned that he is so sensitive, kind, witty and in love with knowledge. Unlike most “smart” people who go to school with the mindset of making more money in the future, this guy absorbs all the knowledge that comes his way and makes it his hobby. While everybody else is scrambling to study because of the threat of bad grades or angry parents, he studies because he really wants to and in his spare time he even picks up books or articles. It may not sound like a lot but the scale that he takes in knowledge on is insane. In TOK he would constantly bring up points that were never said before by any other student in Ms. Crisci’s 10+ years of teaching the class. Even though there’s distance between him and me, he checks up on me once in a while, reminds me to sleep early, keep my mind sharp and to study hard, something nobody in Riverside does for me with a sincere heart. Thank you so much for all the inspiration and love you’ve given me in my time of meeting you. I’m happy to be your friend.
